The Effectiveness of Tutoring Services Group in
Improving Students' Creativity at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine (1) the effectiveness of counseling services group in enhancing the creativity of student learning at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru, (2) the creativity of student learning at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru, (3) the factors that influence the effectiveness of counseling services group in enhancing the creativity of student learning at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. Key informant research was an informant counseling teachers and supporters were 20 students who followed guidance services group. In collecting the data, the researcher used interview, observation and documentation. Interview data were analyzed by means of qualitative qualitatively summarized and analyzed by qualitative observation data. The results showed that the effectiveness of group counseling services in improving student creativity learning at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru is definitely very effective, judging from interviews and observations that have been done by the researcher. The study findings about the factors that influence the effectiveness of counseling services group in enhancing creativity for students at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru was (1) a supporting factor of the cooperation of the teachers and the school as well as the students who are pro-active, while (2) inhibiting factors such as there was not hours to the class and the limitations of the counselors who currently only one person counseling teachers. Hence, it is necessary the attention from the school about the counseling services.
