There are some classifications of vowel sounds in term of tongue and lips position; 1. Central vowels - the position of tongue is between front and back position. e.g : /a/ about /ᴧ/ up 4. High vowels - the position of tongue is close to the roof of mouth. e.g : /I/ kit /Ʊ/ goose 5.
